A common food in Bihar(India), this is a sort of complete meal for the natives there. I personally feel protien should be taken additionally with this. Anyway the preparation is yummy. Lets explore:
Litti
2 cups Wheat Flour
½ tsp Ajwain ~ Carom Seeds
2 tbsp. Butter
¼ tsp. Baking Soda
1/3 tsp. Salt
2/3 – ¾ cups Water or the amount required to knead the dough
Stuffing
½ cup sattu
1 – 2 Green Chilies (I used 2)
¼ cup chopped Coriander Leaves ~ Cilantro
½ – ¾” long Ginger chopped
½ tsp. Ajwain ~ Carom Seeds
½ tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Lime ~ Lemon Juice
1 tbsp. Mustard Oil
Chokha
6 Baby Potatoes or 1 cup boiled and mashed Potatoes
1 large Tomato
3 big Cloves Garlic
1/3 – ½ cup chopped Onion or ½ large Onion chopped
1 – 2 Green Chilies
½ tbsp. grated Ginger
1 tsp. Mustard Oil
1 – 2 tbsp. chopped Coriander Leaves ~ Cilantro
