Food Walk

Food walk Kolkata was arranged by FoodLure for the foodies of Kolkata. Chef SaranshGoila was the celebrity guest for the day. Shruti Jain, ChefDoyel Sarangi and SanayaChatlani from FoodLure arranged this event. It wasorganized by FoodLure to develop a food culture in Kolkata where by people come together, go to places, eat food and discuss how it is , what can be done to improve the food and what is the future of the food industry. A lot of foodies along with food bloggers and press joined us for the event. We started the food walk at 11:30 AM from Edesia, Minto Park and let the participants of food walk mingle with each other with a traditional cake cutting ceremony and welcome drinks along with some small bites. Special chocolate orange mouse cake was prepared by the Edesia head chef for the event. We had our partners’ godrej over here who talked about their new range of refrigerators.After which we will proceed to Kasturi for a proper Bangla Cuisine and talk about the bangla food. We ate a huge variety of bangla food including Chingrimalai curry (prawn with heads), mocha-r-ghonto (banana flower), Shona Mug Dal (moong dal), ChickenQuorma, Illish mustard curry, KochuPatta Paneer Bhappa (a dynamic green leaf with paneer),chisherpayesh (hand rolled rice kheer) andBhetkiPaturi. Infact, our radio partner joined us here for a fun filled dial up and our guests mingle with our team and special guest SaranshGoila all across the event. Chef Pankaj from Godrej joined us over here, where he talked about angodrej microwave and its tadka specialty. There by we proceed for a high tea to Coffee world withSaransh where he talked about his new book “India on my platter” and let our guests lighten up while chitchatting on food and his travel experience. Shrutiwas the host for the day and helped people become a team of foodies enjoying together. Next we will go to Puchkawala to get the desi flavor of Kolkata and roam around together on road and reach the Deleicies for a French Dinner. We had a range of French Dinner starting from Cream of Broccoli / Chicken soup with rice, Focaccia with pesto sauce topped with cherry tomato / Prawn, Baked Florentine / Bhetki topped with Cheese, Cottage Cheese brochet with pilaf along with French Creme Role and delicious deserts. Dinner was a delight for everyone’s taste buds and we made sure each of the participants of walk leaves us with best food experience with a desire for more such experience. FoodLure looks forward to organize many such innovative food events in Kolkata and develop a foodie environment in the city of joys.
